Return Policy
Online orders must be picked up within four weeks of the date of purchase or the customer forfeits any returns or refund privileges. Customers needing an extension must contact the Campus Store prior to that date to make other arrangements by calling 360-752-8342 or emailing us at bookstore@btc.edu. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
Textbooks:
Textbooks and class materials purchased for a new quarter may be returned through the 7th business day of the quarter. Textbooks and materials purchased the 8th-10th business day of new quarter must be returned within three business days of purchase. An original receipt is required for all refunds and exchanges.
Textbooks returned with an add/drop slip may also be refunded 100% of the purchase price through the 16th business day of the quarter providing they are in perfect condition (no bent, corners, scratched or scuffed covers, no outer packaging removed, binding pressed open).
Digital Content items such as E-Texts are governed by return policies set by their third-party vendors and are subject to that vendors return policies.
Special-Order deposits are not refundable. Your deposit will be applied toward the cost of your special order when it arrives. If for any reason the item or it is not picked up within 15 days of first notice of arrival, the deposit will be forfeited and the item shelved or returned to the vendor.
The following conditions apply to all returns on textbooks and course materials:
Sealed packages, bundles, access codes and/or shrink-wrapped items must be in the original package, and unopened. This includes any access code which has had the covering scratched off exposing the code. Activation issues must be addressed by the student with the publisher that hosts the software and are not a reason for return. The BTC Campus Store will not replace or refund any access code which has been exposed.
New books and workbooks must be in pristine condition; clean and free of markings and/or bent corners.
Used books must be in the same condition as when they were sold.
BTC Campus Store has sole discretion to evaluate the condition of the items to determine return eligibility.
Special considerations may be made for classes with later start dates.
General Merchandise:
General Books, Supplies, Gift items, Clothing, and Other Merchandise may be returned within one (1) week from the date of purchase with a receipt if the items are in new and sellable condition.
Original packaging must be intact on items such as calculators or USB drives, stethoscopes and other non-bulk display items.
Clothing items must not have been washed or worn and still have original tags attached.
Clearance items sales are final.
The BTC Campus Store accepts cash, checks, debit, Visa, MasterCard credit cards. Cash and Credit Card purchases will be refunded in the original form of payment.
In the event the BTC Campus Store does not have sufficient cash to do a refund, a check will be processed but may take up to ten (10) business days to be issued.
If payment was made by check, a refund check will be issued and mailed approximately three (3) weeks from the date of the return.
Items purchased through Funding Agencies/Financial Aid, within the refund guidelines, will be refunded to the original purchasing agency.
Be aware there is a $30.00 NSF fee on all returned checks. Having an NSF fee will put a hold on your college account.
Privacy Policy
If you are visiting our site to browse or find information regarding course materials, BTC Campus Store products or services, you do not need to provide any personal information. If you decide to make a purchase, however, we may collect this information so that we can provide you with the product or service requested. We may partner with other third parties to provide various products and services. When you sign up for these services or products, we will share the required personal information that is necessary for the third party to provide the product or service to you. We will not sell or trade your information to unrelated third parties. When you submit an order, you will receive an email confirmation from our system. As your order status changes you may also receive notifications via email. These notifications are part of our order processing service. On our website we use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption when collecting your personal information.
